Going to imagine the Future in Paris

Increasingly over the years, I have found myself surrounded by dystopic messages and fear, and frankly find a lot of the talk about what world we want to live in, in the future, very empty.

To solve this, we hear calls for leaders with great minds and visions to step up and stake out a better path.

Rather than hoping for the singular great leader as an ideal, I’m tempted by how we can democratize the future, and create hope, and create a better future, together.

Thankfully, in the last decades we have seen great advances in how to together imagine the future and how to use the future in the now.

The message about how humanity can become futures literate is spreading, and it’s with a light heart that I head to Paris and UNESCO for the Global Futures Literacy Design Lab.
